Ugh. What can I say? School was getting in the way of me writing about the world in general.
Happy New Year! Hopefully this one will be a lot better than the last (I'm think 2006 mid-term elections!)
Anyway, let get into it. As everyone and their grandma knows, ole Jack "Gee your hair is pretty" Abramoff" is giving up a bunch of his buddies. Look for him to turn up on the bottom of a lake somewhere. This goes all the way to the top people. Just remember this when you pledge your allegiance to politicians (especially Republicans) - They are only your friends until the well runs dry. We all see everyone scrambling to give away all the money ole Jack gave to them. Even our vaunted President. Sigh. You couldn't pay for this type of bad publicity. Tom DeLay stepping down (and in the right direction - keep walking buddy, you're almost to the door). Bill Frist. Karl Rove. Don't think we have forgotten.
This administration needs a quick reality check. Eighty percent of our Marine soldiers lives lost in Iraq could have been prevented if they were given the body armor that they have been asking to have for some time now. This body armor was available in 2003. It is three years later and they are just now getting around to it. Even the staunchest patriot and Bush supporter has to scratch his head and wonder where the hell is all this money going to. Iraq is not visibly rebuilding. This is the second (third?) election for an actual government - still not going well even though we are paying for the propaganda.
Wake up people. If you have not checked out your local elections and candidates, I suggest you do so right now. This circus has got to stop. Speaking of stop. I'd better end this section of the blog before they wiretap MY phone. Was that static I heard over the phone??? Hmmm.
